List of PSA Technology Vendors
A key decision that jurisdictions must address during PSA implementation is how the site will automate the PSA. Jurisdictions are not permitted to calculate PSA scores manually: human math errors must be avoided, given the potential consequences for people who enter the justice system. A jurisdiction can integrate the PSA into an existing data system, purchase a case management system that already integrates the PSA, or use (or build) a PSA calculator that functions as a stand-alone software application. Whichever option you choose, the resulting system must generate the PSA scores and produce the pretrial assessment report that is provided to the judicial officers and shared with the charged person, their defense attorney, and the prosecutor. Programming can be completed with internal IT staff, but if your jurisdiction requires outside expertise (such as a commercial vendor or contractor) either to integrate the PSA into an existing data system or develop a PSA calculator, the vendor or contractor must enter into a license agreement with Arnold Ventures (AV).
